Novus Advanced Manufacturing Plans Manufacturing Plant In Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

04/26/2016
Novus Advanced Manufacturing, a company that specializes in manufacturing steel panels for the hospitality and retail center sectors, will locate new operations in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The company will invest $1.9 million to renovate an existing space in the Tennessee Enterprise Center and create 47 new jobs.

Renovations are currently underway and include the installation of a 25-foot drive-in door to accommodate oversized metal panels, an electrical upgrade and office updates. The facility is slated to be operational in June.

“We are happy to expand into Lawrence County and look forward to growing and being a part of the community,” Novus Advanced Manufacturing CEO David Hunt said. “We have several new projects on the horizon and are eager to open our facility in Lawrenceburg.”

“More than 330,000 Tennesseans are employed in the manufacturing sector and because of our efforts to stay competitive, we are focused on maintaining a steady pipeline of educated, well-trained workers,” Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “We thank Novus for investing in Lawrenceburg and contributing new jobs to Team Tennessee.”

"Lawrenceburg and Lawrence County welcome Novus Advanced Manufacturing,” Lawrenceburg Mayor Keith Durham said. “We are excited about the further repurposing of the former Murray facility and the new manufacturing jobs that will be created here. This is a great example of the chamber, county and its municipalities working together to better our whole economy.”
