05/24/2016
Located at 1307 S. Highway 11 in Walhalla, South Carolina, Nason will be constructing a 30,000-square-foot expansion to its existing facility. With more than 60 years’ experience, Nason Company is a provider of space-efficient electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components for use in military and industrial applications. Offering a complete line of switches, cylinders and transducers, the company’s Oconee operation is home to a team of more than 100 expert design engineers and customer service specialists.
“Oconee County and the Upstate community continue to provide a strong home for our operation. These are exciting times for the Nason Company and we appreciate the continued support of the local and state governments,” said Nason Company President Stephen Mihaly.
“For a company like the Nason Company to thrive and have the ability to continue to grow in our state after doing business here for more than two decades proves that Team South Carolina’s approach to creating a competitive environment for business development is working. We couldn’t be more excited to congratulate this fantastic company on the success it’s found here, and most importantly, thank them for the commitment they continue to show to the people of our state,” Governor Nikki Haley said.
“Nason has been a wonderful corporate citizen of Oconee for many years and seeing this growth occur is highly encouraging on many fronts. This expansion means that even more first-class products will continue to be made in Oconee to satisfy a global customer base, and it further confirms that Oconee has the right business climate and the skilled workforce that thriving businesses need,” Oconee County Council Chairman Paul Cain said.
