Pacific Industries Plans Manufacturing Facility in Jackson, Tennessee
06/18/2014
The planned Pacific facility in Jackson will be engaged in automotive metal stamping and welding operations. Groundbreaking on the new plant is planned for late summer of 2014, with completion of the new plant tentatively scheduled for late spring/early summer 2015. Operations and productions are slated to begin in late summer of 2015.
“I want to thank Pacific Industries for choosing to locate their first manufacturing facility in the Southeast in Jackson, and I appreciate the high quality jobs they are creating in Madison County,” Governor Bill Haslam said. “Tennessee has a strong global presence in automotive manufacturing, further strengthened by this new investment, and today’s announcement supports our goal of becoming the No. 1 place in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
“Pacific’s choice further validates that Jackson, Tennessee is one of the premier locations in the country for Japanese owned automotive suppliers,” Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist said. “Our existing industry base grows even stronger today as we welcome Pacific Industries and its entire team to Jackson.”
Pacific received assistance from the state of Tennessee, the city of Jackson, Madison County, the Jackson Chamber, the Jackson Energy Authority, and the Tennessee Valley Authority for making their investment in Tennessee possible.
