Compass Compression Services To Build Newly Designed Fabrication Facility In Calgary, Canada
06/24/2014
This new facility is strategically located to provide cold weather packages to Compass' Canadian and Northern United States customer base. Construction of a new 75,000 square foot fabrication facility located in Calgary's Southeast Frontier Industrial Park is scheduled to begin construction in July. Upon completion, expected in the second quarter of 2015, Compass Compression will have approximately 125,000 square feet of gas compression fabrication capacity. The addition of the new facility will increase the company's fabrication capacity by almost 50 percent.
"As the industry moves toward a higher volume of large horsepower compressor packages, we have been shop constrained," said John Forgeron, President of Compass Compression. "The design of the new facility will give us an extremely efficient large horsepower shop which allows us to fulfill current and future client demands, it will also free up existing space to grow our VRU and small HP compression business."
Compass Compression said it has been focused on growth since the appointment of a new ownership group in 2008. Recently, Compass Compression has been recognized for achieving 444 percent growth in revenue over the past five years. The new facility is another step intended to position the company for continued growth and further success.
