McNeely Plastics Expands Hazlehurst, Mississippi, Operations
07/27/2016
The company is located in an existing 59,000-square-foot, county-owned facility in the Copiah County Industrial Park. The facility was previously occupied by furniture manufacturer MMI. McNeely Plastics, which also has a location in Clinton employing 100 Mississippians, plans to add 25 associates at its Hazlehurst Plant.
Mississippi Development Authority provided loan assistance in support of the project to purchase and renovate the building. Copiah County also assisted with the project.
“Throughout the state, we work hard to provide a business environment favorable for companies’ growth and success. McNeely Plastics’ expansion and investment in Hazlehurst serves as a testament to that,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
“When Mississippi’s existing businesses, such as McNeely Plastics, choose to grow and create new career opportunities, they show the world Mississippi is a great place for business,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We appreciate our partners at the Copiah County Economic Development District, the Copiah County Board of Supervisors and the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District whose teamwork with MDA played an important role in this expansion.”
