Alabama Gains Jobs from Auto Parts Maker’s Expansion

09/18/2007
Mando America Corporation will expand its production lines and equipment in its existing facility in Opelika, Alabama, creating more than 75 new jobs at an investment of $21 million. This expansion is the second since the facility opened in 2004, and will bring the company's total investment in the region to $86 million and total employment to more than 500, according to Alabama economic development officials. The Alabama company is a subsidiary of Mando Corporation, a Korea-based manufacturer of auto chassis components and systems. The facility in Opelika produces brake corner modules, suspension modules, and steering systems.
