12/02/2014
Construction for the 30,000-square-foot facility is anticipated to begin in December 2014. The company’s $6.7 million investment will go toward land and building costs, machinery and equipment, IT and infrastructure costs, and workforce training.
“This is an exciting next step in KTH Parts’ growth—which includes expanding our capabilities with our brand new facility and increasing our Columbus Region workforce,” said Chris Millice, Vice President, KTH Parts Industries. “We’re looking forward to continuing to partner with Union County and having access to top-notch universities, like The Ohio State University, and other technical leaders to source the talent we need.”
KTH Parts plans to hire 26 new employees over the next three years—more than tripling its existing workforce in Union County. Hiring for the new positions, which will be research and development engineers, has already started.
“We are thrilled KTH Parts has decided to build this innovative research and development facility in Union County,” said Steve Stolte, County Commissioner, Union County. “Not only will the company find the talented and driven workforce it’s looking for, this move will bring even more high-quality jobs to Union County and the Columbus Region.”
