Air Medical Group Holdings, a provider of air medical services, is expanding its operations center in West Plains, Missouri. The project includes a $1.4 million capital investment and is expected to create 20 new jobs.

AMGH, which responds to emergencies that require air medical services in more than 66 Missouri counties, will construct a new 40,000 square foot building and consolidate most of its West Plains employees to one location. The new facility will house the Revenue Cycle Department, Print Shop, Communications Center, and Membership of its AirMedCare Network Division. Air Evac Lifeteam’s air ambulance base will be relocated adjacent to the new facility as well. The new facility will accommodate the company’s increased employment and future growth plans.

The company currently employs about 300 people in four separate buildings within the West Plains area. “Our West Plains team has been critical to the success of AMGH, and we’re very excited about this new location and the opportunity it presents to expand right here,” said Keith Hovey, Vice President of AirMedCare Network. “We’re committed to the community here and we look forward to many more years of success in West Plains.”

“I am pleased to announce that Air Medical Group Holdings is once again increasing its presence in the Show-Me State,” said Mike Downing, Acting Director at the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “We know that this is a great place to do business. And when companies choose Missouri again and again as the place to grow, its further proof that our workforce is highly capable and our business climate is competitive.”

To assist Air Medical Group Holdings with its expansion, the Department of Economic Development and the City of West Plains have authorized a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria.
