One of the fastest growing medical distribution companies in the world, J&B Medical will open a new customer service support center in downtown Toledo, Ohio. The project is expected to create at least 50 new jobs within the first year.

According to the Regional Growth Partnership Northwest Ohio, the healthcare company has its headquarters in Wixom, Michigan, with locations across multiple states. J&B Medical has experienced tremendous growth, and with new business evolving in Northwest Ohio the company wants to help continue Toledo’s renaissance and revitalization.

“At J&B Medical, we proudly aim to forge new pathways into the future of healthcare,” said Mary Shaya, co-founder and president of J&B Medical. “Our 16 different business enterprises span 953 manufacturers and reach customers in 48 states and 28 countries. Our programs have been nationally and internationally recognized. We are so thankful to the city of Toledo, the RGP, JobsOhio and all of Lucas County for welcoming us in to grow together.”

JobsOhio, which drives job creation and new capital investment across the state, tailored an attractive incentive package which includes a Job Creation Tax Credit and Talent Acquisition Services. The latter incentive will assist J&B Medical in attracting workers for open positions with such services as talent advising, candidate marketing and pre-screening. JobsOhio works closely with the Regional Growth Partnership, which serves as Northwest Ohio’s regional network partner.

“J&B Medical is one of the most rapidly-growing medical distribution companies in the nation, and last several months have demonstrated the critical need to bolster those operations here,” said J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and CEO. “J&B Medical’s decision to select Toledo and its talented workforce is more evidence that Ohio is ideal location of choice to expand and secure the medical supply chain in the United States.”

Nauseef added that the investment by J&B Medical is another example Ohio’s economy will rebound thanks to the resilience of Ohio’s businesses and the skill of Ohio workers.

J&B Medical also tapped the regional collaboration of economic development partners, including JobsOhio, the RGP and Lucas County, to work closely with the company and help move the project forward in an efficient manner.
