Integrated steel producer U.S. Steel Corporation will locate an advanced steel making plant in Osceola, Arkansas. The $3 billion project is expected to create at least 900 full-time direct and indirect jobs.

The new optimized steel production facility is expected to feature two electric arc furnaces with 3 million tons per year of advanced steel making capability, a state of the art endless casting and rolling line, and advanced finishing capabilities. Steel’s ability to respond to customers’ pressing supply chain needs to satisfy their own domestic manufacturing expansion.
