Siwin Foods, a Canada-based company that makes ready-to-eat meals, will expand its production plant in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The $54 million project is expected to create 50 jobs.

Construction of the 30,000-square-foot expansion is scheduled for 2023. The company plans to triple its output by 2024.

The project is being supported by a $2.8 million Alberta Investment and Growth Fund grant from the Government of Alberta. Invest Alberta worked alongside the company and the province to support Siwin’s scale-up efforts.

Siwin Foods provides the highest quality in ready-to-eat and quick-cooking meal solutions. The company ships products coast to coast in Canada, exporting to the U.S. and Japan as well as working on several new markets.
