Walker Emulsions, a producer of asphalt emulsions and industrial emulsions for the building products industries based in Ontario, Canada, is investing $4.65 million to open a facility in Orangeburg County, South Carolina.

Walker Emulsions, which expects to begin operations late this summer, will be acquiring the 53,000 square-foot Engineered Polymer Solutions Building.

"We're very excited to be opening a new facility in Orangeburg County. Our choice to locate here was in large part due to the tremendous support and assistance we received from the Orangeburg County Economic Development Commission and South Carolina Department of Commerce. They welcomed us with open arms,” Archie Reynolds, Executive Vice-President of Walker Emulsions said.

"With this announcement we are once again proving that South Carolina is a top choice for foreign investment and place businesses of all kinds can find success and opportunities to grow. We applaud Walker Emulsions for opening this new facility in Orangeburg - representing a $4.65 million investment and approximately 11 new jobs for that area,” Gov. Nikki Haley said.
