Trader Joe's plans to establish a food assembly and distribution facility in Palmdale, California. The approximately $150 million project is expected to create more than 800 jobs.
The 1.03-million-square-foot facility, located on a roughly 104-acre site at the southeast corner of Avenue M & 10th St. West, will consist of three buildings; a hub building, a freezer building and an accessory building. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2024.
"We are thrilled that Trader Joe's has selected Palmdale as a destination to expand their business with their new food assembly and distribution facility," said Mayor Laura Bettencourt. "The project aligns with the City's commitment to economic vitality, innovation and job creation and catalyzes additional industrial development in Palmdale.”
