Dreyfous & Associates, a local education and technology company, invested approximately $3 million to expand operations in Caguas, Puerto Rico in order to meet export demand for its main product: EduSystem. The company will create 66 new jobs over an 18-month period on the island commonwealth.

The company develops educational programs such as EduSystem, a learning management system that provides digital curriculum content on different subjects for primary and secondary education in both Spanish and English. System users are teachers offering courses to students with a modern and updated curriculum, and an approach adapted to current technology. The product is developed in Puerto Rico and used by academic institutions in the island. The company will now export the product to other countries such as Peru, Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Angola and the United States.

"The quality and professional capabilities of Puerto Rico's workforce encourages the development of new world-class and innovative educational technology projects, boosting economic growth", said Dr. Ricardo Dreyfous, President/Founder of Dreyfous & Associates.

"Fostering the export of goods and services produced by Puerto Rican companies is one of the pillars of our Economic Recovery Agenda. This task will drive more capital into our economy. The success of Dreyfous & Associates speaks eloquently of Puerto Rico's main strength: its people. We have a highly educated, productive and creative workforce", said Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla.

"Export services is one of the fastest growing emerging segments of our industrial footprint", added Antonio Medina Comas, Executive Director of PRIDCO. "This is a consequence of Puerto Rico having a highly skilled human capital that can offer different services and develop technical computing capabilities that can be exported worldwide."
