The China Forum - The New Wave of FDI
Sofitel Chicago Water Tower Hotel
Chicago, IL
Sunday September 24 - Monday September 25, 2006

This one-day interactive forum will focus on the latest trends regarding globally expanding Chinese companies, an increasingly important source of inward investment for North America. The China Forum is designed to encourage discussion, interaction and networking between attendees and speakers. Numbers will be limited to keep this event exclusive and boutique in style.

Event Objectives
The main objective of this event is for the audience to gain an insight into how and why Chinese companies are expanding through FDI. We will hear from the experts about the most recent trends and developments regarding the new wave of FDi from China into North America, and we’ll discuss how North American agencies can best attract and retain investment from these companies.

Description
This intensive one-day event will feature a selection of US experts who are currently working in China, and whose responsibilities entail advising and assisting Chinese companies in setting up and establishing themselves in the U.S. These speakers will take us through their company’s corporate objectives as well as their location criteria and the decision making process. The event will also feature approximately 5 Chinese companies who are either expanding or looking to expand into North America. Following all the presentations there will be a moderated discussion with a Q&A session.
