Women in Economic Development Forum8 Sofitel Water Tower
September 24-26, 2017
With so much positive feedback from the more than 350 professionals who have attended the past seven years, the Women in Economic Development Forum will be returning to the Sofitel Water Tower in Chicago this September. The event is designed to allow attendees to network with some of the most influential and active site consultants, industry experts and economic development professionals while gaining insight into current site selection trends and best economic development practices.
The forum will focus on the growing importance in the leadership roles women are bringing to the industry, and is intended to encourage and inspire both professional and personal growth. Speaker presentations will be accompanied by panels, roundtable discussions and networking breaks, receptions and meals.
The Forum opens Sunday with an early evening Networking Reception and Dinner. The Monday-Tuesday program is designed to focus on those subjects and issues that will help you create a more effective business attraction & retention strategy. Each day's program includes a networking breakfast and lunch and a series of networking breaks, where you have the opportunity to meet and talk with speakers and colleagues.
Following Tuesday's Closing Lunch, you are ready to leave for home or office.
The Forum has a limited number of hotel rooms available at the conference rate for Sunday and Monday nights. For those wishing to add stays for Saturday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday nights there are limited rooms available at the conference rate. Due to the limited number of rooms available hotel reservations will only be available after receipt of your paid Forum registration.
Sponsors will join our speakers Monday evening for a private “Signature Cocktails and Fine Hors d’ Oeuvres ” reception at Le Colonial, Chicago’s famed French- Vietnamese restaurant a short walk from the hotel. It’s the perfect follow up networking opportunity to the day’s program available only for Forum sponsors. This in addition to our Sunday evening Opening Speakers / Sponsors Reception.
Area Development donates $10 of each registration to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the name of all Women in Economic Development Forum 2017 attendees and speakers.
