Ohio Company Opening Wind Turbine Manufacturing Plant, Creating 100 Jobs
Area Development Online News Desk (05/26/2009)
LAH Development LLC, an engineering and manufacturing company, will invest more than $1 million to locate a wind turbine manufacturing and service facility in Greenville, Ohio, according to the Dayton Business Journal. The company plans to create approximately 100 new jobs at an average salary of $22.35 per hour plus benefits. The Journal reports that LAH Development will purchase an existing facility in Greenville and chose the Ohio location, where its headquarters is currently located, over sites in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, and Montana. The state has awarded LAH a 50 percent job creation tax credit for a six-year term, with a total alue of $390,880; Darke County will also provide approximately $188,000 for work force training of up to 120 workers.
