Statesman Journal
reports. The facility is scheduled to open in September.
The site includes a 4,000-square-foot building and capacity for 60,000 gallons of propane. The company will initially employ four people and hire more workers as the business expands, according to Blue Star President Jeff Stewart.
Salem’s Strategic Economic Development Corporation (SEDCOR) said $828,500 of Blue Star’s investment qualifies for an enterprise zone tax abatement.
Blue Star has headquarters in Santa Rosa, California. Before building this Salem site, it served the area from McMinnville.
