Odyssey Logistics & Technology Expands in Charlotte, North Carolina, With Plans To Add More Than 100 Jobs
09/26/2012
The Conn-based firm said it performed an extensive search in the Charlotte region before choosing LakePointe Business Park, because of its central location and proximity to the airport. As part of its expansion, OL&T plans to add new employees in the areas of customer service, operations and logistics management.
"We appreciate the support that we have received since locating one of our major operations in Charlotte nearly 10 years ago," said OL&T president and chief executive officer Robert Shellman. "Charlotte offers OL&T a solid workforce and the infrastructure we need as our company continues to expand and serve a more diverse, global customer base."
The new office houses customer service and global technology support, along with divisions associated with OL&T transport and supply chain businesses. In addition, employees at this location are supporting business in Europe and Asia.
"OL&T's expansion in Charlotte is testament to our City's growing and diversifying economy," Charlotte mayor Anthony Foxx said. "OL&T knows what more and more companies are learning all the time - Charlotte is a great place to do business." No incentives were provided to spark this expansion, local officials said.
