Axalta Coating Systems Upgrades Its Powder Manufacturing Center In Houston, Texas

According to company officials, “Axalta’s plan aims to streamline the powder coating manufacturing process and will include the installation of latest generation processing equipment including dosing systems designed to improve quality and reduce waste, water consumption and cleaning time.”
“Additional implementation of packaging systems will lead to productivity improvements. Production throughout the facility will continue at full capacity during the installation of the new equipment. Anticipated to finish by the end of 2018, the project aligns with Axalta’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices,” officials explained.
“We are excited to initiate these sustainable growth initiatives for our powder coating business,” said Keith Ort, Axalta Director of Operational Excellence. “These changes will increase opportunities to further enhance the production of our powders to the benefit of our customers, our business and our impact on the environment.”
