Ntension Corporation Expands Into Larger Hermon, Maine, Manufacturing Center
12/09/2013
“I commend Ntension on its continued growth and commitment to providing additional quality jobs to Maine people,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “I am also pleased that our various economic incentives played a key role in facilitating this expansion and helping attract and retain much-needed private investment and new job opportunities for Mainers.”
“Ntension is bursting at the seams,” said Governor LePage’s Account Executive Jaimie Logan. “They’ve chosen not to advertise recently because they did not wish to recruit more business than they can adequately serve produce in a timely manner. This is not only a huge tribute to their success and growth potential, but also their dedication to providing exceptional client service.”
Ntension serves as just one example of what the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia recently characterized as a “booming” economy in Maine, the Governor’s Office said. The Fed noted that Maine moved to one of the ten best states in the nation in their leading index forecast for economic growth over the coming months. The index was released a few days after the Bureau of Labor Statistics issued its employment data for Maine, which showed that the past three years of private-sector job growth have been the best three years for Maine in over a decade.
