Vanair Manufacturing Expands Michigan City, Indiana, Manufacturing Plant

Vanair Manufacturing Inc., an air compressor manufacturer, plans to expand its operations in Michigan City, Indiana. The $8.3 million project is expected to create 75 jobs.

The investment will include a new 100,000-square-foot building at the company’s current air compressor manufacturing facility, located at 10896 West 300 North. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.

“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting expansion project and contribute to the economic development of La Porte County,” said Ralph Kokot, CEO of Vanair Manufacturing Inc. “Our company has experienced remarkable growth over the past 15 years, and this expansion will enable us to meet the increasing demand for our products while creating new employment opportunities.”

The council unanimously approved a confirmatory ERA (Economic Revitalization Area) resolution and a statement of benefits for Vanair Manufacturing Inc.
