Package-Product Testing Firm DDL Expands Laboratory In Fountain Valley, California
03/03/2014
The firm said its expansion includes addition of a new building that provides increased capacity for environmental conditioning, real time aging and accelerated aging testing. This additional capacity gives DDL West the capability to better meet the growing testing needs of its medical device customers based in California and along the west coast, as well as internationally.
“With this expansion, we now have additional capacity to conduct package validation preconditioning required under ISO 11607,” said John Koch, Lab Manager, DDL West. “This will help us reduce development lead time and shorten product time-to-market for our growing customer base.”
DDL operates additional testing laboratories in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and Fountain Valley, California. DDL offers accelerated aging, distribution simulation, package strength, integrity, physical shock, thermal shock, vibration, compression, unitized load testing, leakage and other validation services at both its Minnesota and California locations. DDL also tests packaging materials including adhesives, films, corrugated, cushioning materials and plastics at its Minnesota location.
