04/20/2023
The investment in the facility’s infrastructure will allow the company to better serve its growing customer demand.
“United Record Pressing is and always has been a Tennessee-based company with over 74 years of rich history here. We are excited to be making this investment in our expansion in Middle Tennessee and are very appreciative of the important support we have received,” said Mark Michaels, CEO and chairman, United Record Pressing.
Founded in 1949 in Nashville, the company is known for its storied history, which includes having pressed the first Beatles single in America, as well as many of the classic Motown hits during the 1960s and ‘70s. United Record Pressing manufactures approximately 50,000 records per day for artists of all scales and genres of music.
“Tennessee is known by the brands that call our state home, and we are grateful that United Record Pressing has chosen to further invest and create jobs in the Volunteer State. When companies choose to grow in Tennessee, it’s a huge vote of confidence to our workforce and central location, and we couldn’t be more pleased to see United Record Pressing expand in Nashville,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter noted.
