Canadian Textile Company Expands in Massachusetts

09/24/2007
Victor Innovatex, Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of textiles, will its U.S. operations in Fall River, Massachusetts. The company has purchased the assets of the former Quaker Fabric, Inc. in Fall River - including its textile mill and equipment there - and, according to a Victor announcement, plans to begin operations by the end of this year. While the company declined to provide financial information regarding the expansion, local news reports indicate that the company will hire at least 100 workers over the next two years. "This acquisition will allow Victor to deliver compelling solutions to the textile market by expanding our expertise in contract textile design, lean production, on-time delivery, and consistent quality," says Alain Duval, the company's president and CEO. Victor already operates a service and warehouse facility in Michigan and a design studio in New York.
