Salon Service Group Invests More than $4.1 Million To Expand Springfield, Missouri, Headquarters
12/23/2013
Founded in Springfield in 1987, when the company began it distributed only one product line. Since then, Salon Service Group has quickly grown and now supplies salon products from nine major health and beauty brands to salons in 10 states.
“Springfield was a great place to launch our company and it continues to be a great place to grow it,” said Gino Barbo, Owner and Founder of Salon Service Group. “Missouri offers has a world-class workforce and a central location that gives us easy access to big markets across the country—which is really key in this business.”
“With Missouri’s infrastructure ranked 5th best in the nation, it’s no wonder distribution companies, like Salon Service Group are choosing to invest in Missouri,” said Mike Downing, acting director at the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “We strive to make the Show-Me State the best place to do business, and we’re thrilled to see that our business friendly climate is helping Missouri-grown companies succeed and expand.”
To assist Salon Service Group with its expansion, the Department of Economic Development and the City of Springfield have authorized a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria.
