Ortec Expands Operations To Include Pendleton, South Carolina, Facility
12/03/2016
To expand in Anderson County, Ortec is upfitting its existing 200,000-square-foot building, which is located at 500 Westinghouse Road in Pendleton, South Carolina. Ortec will be investing in new production equipment and support infrastructure, allowing for an added focus on the production of materials going into specialty coatings, adhesives, automotive applications and graphic arts technology. The expanded facility is projected to be operational in the third quarter of 2018, and hiring of new positions will begin in early 2018.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
“Ortec is pleased to continue to grow its business footprint in upstate South Carolina. I want to acknowledge the Anderson County Economic Development Group, the Anderson County government officials and the S.C. Department of Commerce for their efforts in creating a pro-business environment to support this growth,” said Ortec, Inc. President Larry Brotherton.
“It’s always exciting to see one of our businesses prove how committed they are to South Carolina by continuing to invest in our people and create new jobs here. This $20 million investment and the 60 new jobs it means for Anderson County will make a real difference in the local community and should be celebrated across the state,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
