187,000 Jobs Added From December to January, ADP Says

The private sector added 187,000 from December to January according to ADP's latest National Employment Report. All major industries and businesses of all sizes showed strength.

In January, private sector employment rose by 166,000 positions, the twelfth consecutive month of expansion. Manufacturing employment grew by 19,000 jobs, the third consecutive month of growth.

Small-sized businesses added the most jobs, creating 97,000 positions. These businesses have fewer than 50 employees. Medium-sized businesses created 79,000 jobs and large-sized businesses added 11,000 jobs.
