03/14/2011
"I am extremely excited about the growth opportunities presented to our business by locating in the commonwealth of Virginia," said Ujas Patel, president of Continental Waste Management. "Virginia offers us both the infrastructure and qualified work force needed to support our growth plans and Covington, Virginia, is a great location for industrial operations."
Governor Bob McDonnell approved a $150,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to aid Covington with the project. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide funding and services to support labor activities through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
Manufacturing in Covington will begin in the beginning of the summer.
