04/25/2014
Medac Inc., a provider of revenue cycle and practice management services and information products to anesthesia-related healthcare providers, plans to establish the company's headquarters in Aiken County, South Carolina. The $12 million investment will bring 615 jobs to the area.

According to the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the company intends to streamline operations of three facilities into a single, consolidated facility in North Augusta, South Carolina. Medac will be moving to a two-story, 60,000-square-foot building in the North Augusta riverfront development area, located near the North Augusta Municipal Center.

"We are thrilled to have found a new home in North Augusta. Medac has spent more than 10 years researching locations where we could combine our offices and increase operational and environmental efficiencies. We look forward to embarking on this important stage in our evolution, and we appreciate the efforts made by South Carolina, North Augusta and the Economic Development Partnership to ensure such a great space for Medac-one that will include not only a state-of-the-art facility, but ample parking, and access to a trained and stable workforce,” said Bijon Memar, Medac Founder/President.

"We couldn't be more excited that Medac Inc. has decided to establish its company headquarters in South Carolina. Their $12 million investment and 615 jobs they are bringing to the North Augusta area will have a positive impact on the whole of the state and especially the local community,” Governor Nikki Haley said. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project.

""We are pleased that Medac has chosen to locate in Aiken County. This investment and these jobs will have a positive impact on the City of North Augusta's riverfront development and Aiken County,” Gary Stooksbury, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aiken-Edgefield Economic Development Partnership explained.
