WCA Waste Corporation Expands with Orlando-Jacksonville, Florida Operations

According to company officials, the acquisition includes the purchase of two hauling operations located in Orlando and Jacksonville; Sunshine Recycling services approximately 2,000 customers and provides commercial, roll-off dumpster, and disposal services to businesses in over 16 counties.
"We are truly excited for this opportunity to grow in the Orlando and Jacksonville markets and to continue Sunshine's legacy of providing a superior service to our customers," stated Bob Shires, WCA Regional Vice President.
"We will achieve this with the guidance of our Florida leadership team that has over 50 years combined industry experience,” he added.
WCA started business operations in 2000 in Houston, Texas and has expanded to serve over half a million residential and commercial/industrial customers in eleven states. WCA has more than 1,500 customer service-orientated employees and a fleet over 850 vehicles.
