U-Haul: National Migration Trend Report
In its National Migration Trend Report, U-Haul names Houston, Texas, the leading U.S. city for family relocations.

The report considers individuals traveling more than 50 miles to move. It also ranks top growth cities and states. U-Haul identified Michigan and Vermont as top growth states for 2010. Vermont had the highest growth rate of nearly 19.5 percent of families moving into rather than out of the state. In Michigan, more than 3 percent of additional families moved in.
Santa Monica, California, was the highest growth city, with nearly 21 percent of people moving into rather than away from the metro. In Canada, Toronto was the number one city for relocation destinations for the ninth consecutive year. The Canadian top 10 cities in 2010 were:
