Bob Cook, Senior Vice President, Latin America, Site Selection Group, LLC

In August 2015, Bob Cook joined the Site Selection Group (SSG) as the team’s senior vice president for Latin America, providing assistance to companies considering the establishment of manufacturing, distribution, and other types of facilities in Mexico and Latin America. Cook is also the president of Cook Strategies Group, LLC, a company he formed in August 2013 after a 30-year career in economic development. CSG provides strategic planning advice to companies and communities. Cook’s economic development career began with the Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce, where he worked as the manager of Economic Analysis from 1983 to 1985. From 1985 through 1997, Cook served in various positions at the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Cook served as president/CEO of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce (Jackson, Tennessee) from 1997 to 2002. And in 2004, Cook became the founding president of the El Paso Regional Economic Development Corporation (REDCo), a private nonprofit corporation charged with the mission to attract business and industry to the El Paso, Texas/Juarez, Mexico region. Cook has published more than 20 articles on topics relating to economic development and international trade, and has served as an expert witness on these matters before numerous state and federal legislative and regulatory bodies. Cook is a 1982 graduate of Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
