04/20/2016
The company makes tubing from carbon, aluminum and stainless materials, and provides such services as laser cutting, bending, sawing, shearing and parts finishing. Based in Conway, Arkansas, Central Tube and Bar has announced that operations will begin April 25 and include the largest tube laser operating in Texas with a 16 inch diameter capacity. It will move into a 37,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 2712 Old Dallas Road in Lacy Lakeview, where it spent $2 million on improvements. Lacy Lakeview, a city in McLennan County, Texas, is part of the Waco Metro area.
“Our Texas plant will allow us to service our existing customer base much better in Waco and the surrounding areas,” said Dustin Ward, President of Central Tube and Bar. “It will also help facilitate our current growth patterns by giving us additional laser capacity. We have had this expansion in the works for some time and are very excited to finally be here.”
Central Tube and Bar has locations in Conway and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company started in 1997 at the Arkansas location and added the Oklahoma facility in 2003. The Texas location will allow them to extend their reach further into the southwest region. They are a value-added service center specializing in tube laser processing along with saw cutting and tube bending.
Greater Waco is located along the Interstate 35 corridor and is home to more than 14,000 companies, 234,906 people and a regional workforce of approximately 320,000. It is strategically positioned with centralized access to Dallas and Austin (90 miles) and Houston and San Antonio (185 miles).
