Innotrac Corporation Readies Redlands, California, Fulfillment Center
04/16/2014
The Southern California location, the firm’s ninth U.S. facility scheduled to open in May, is equipped with state of the art technology and is strategically located near major carrier hubs, the company said.
"Southern California is a prime location for eCommerce retailers," said Robert Toner, Innotrac Chief Operating Officer. "In addition to expanding globally, we've had repeated requests from our clients for dual locations; specifically for one of those facilities to be located on the west coast. For many of our clients, reducing time in transit to their customers is becoming more critical in today's competitive landscape. Having a national footprint that reaches most of the major markets in a couple of days with standard delivery will help our clients reduce time in transit and shipping costs."
"We're excited about the growth that Innotrac is experiencing, but also about the new opportunities it will bring to the communities where we're building," said Glenn Furneaux, Vice President of Human Resources. "Our Redlands facility is expected to create hundreds of jobs by the end of the year, and we're looking forward to a long lasting partnership with that community."
In addition to the California location, company officials noted future expansion plans are underway for a tenth Innotrac location in Chicago, opening this summer.
