Module Design Expands Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Operations

07/14/2025
Modular housing manufacturer Module Design, Inc. plans to expand its operations in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. The more than $2.4 million project is expected to create 58 jobs in Allegheny County.

The investment will include the purchase of new equipment at the company's existing facility at 730 Superior Street.

“With support from the Commonwealth, we’re expanding our capacity to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient housing in a region where housing is in short supply,” said Brian Gaudio, Co-Founder and CEO, Module. “Building homes in our Last Mile Facility in Allegheny County creates family sustaining jobs and on-ramps into the construction trades. We remain steadfast in our belief that everyone deserves to live in a well-designed space they are proud to call home.”

To support the project the company received a funding proposal from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) that includes a $400,000 Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan, a $290,000 Pennsylvania First grant and a $72,000 WEDnetPA grant to train its workers.

“We are committed to supporting companies like Module, who are creating jobs and bringing high-quality, eco-friendly housing options to those who need it the most,” noted DCED Secretary Rick Siger. “We will remain laser-focused on making investments like these to improve the lives of people in Allegheny County and across our Commonwealth.”

Module Design specializes in designing, building, and delivering sustainable and energy-efficient modular homes.
