Canada-Based Gould Industries Plans Pike County, Mississippi, Operations

06/21/2026
Canada-based plastic products manufacturer Gould Industries plans to establish operations in Pike County, Mississippi. The approximately $14 million project is expected to create 65 jobs.

The investment will include the acquisition and modernization of an existing facility and the addition of new production lines.

“This acquisition is a defining moment in our company’s history and a deliberate step in the long-term vision I have set for Gould Industries in the United States,” said Frederico Panetta, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gould Industries. “We did not simply look for a facility; we looked for the right community, the right people and the right opportunity to build something that lasts. Mississippi gave us all three.”

To support the project, the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program. Pike County is also assisting with the project.

“Mississippi has a track record for helping companies turn plans into reality,” noted Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork. “We have built a solid reputation for moving fast, staying flexible and delivering for businesses like Gould Industries that are ready to grow. It’s why companies are confidently investing in major projects and bringing real opportunities to Mississippians in every corner of our state.”

Gould Industries is a manufacturer of metal components and fabricated products serving industrial, transportation, construction, and infrastructure markets. The company’s operations include metal processing, fabrication, machining, and assembly.

“Gould Industries’ decision to invest in Pike County is another strong signal that our community continues to compete successfully for industrial growth and manufacturing investment,” added Jill Busby, Economic Development Director of the Pike County Economic Development District. “This project not only brings quality jobs and significant capital investment to our area, but it also breathes new life into an existing facility while supporting sustainability and innovation.”
