NPK Access Solutions Expands Carencro, Louisiana, Production Operations

Composite matting manufacturer NPK Access Solutions plans to expand its operations in Carencro, Louisiana. The $40 million project is expected to create 38 jobs in Lafayette Parish.

The investment at the company's existing facility will include the installation of specialized manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to increase production capacity by approximately 50% while supporting a new composite matting product line. Operations are scheduled to begin in mid-2027.

“This investment meaningfully expands our Carencro, Louisiana manufacturing operations and reflects our confidence in the long-term strength in our served end-markets and continued growth of our business,” said Matthew Lanigan, President and Chief Executive Officer of NPK International Inc. “We are grateful for the partnership and support of the State of Louisiana and Louisiana Economic Development, whose commitment to fostering a pro-business environment has helped make this expansion possible. Our decision to invest in Louisiana was driven by our nearly 30 years of successful operations at our Carencro facility, a skilled and dedicated local workforce, and the strong support we have received from state and local partners. By increasing our manufacturing capacity, we will be better positioned to serve our customers, support our employees and create lasting value for the communities where we operate.”

To secure the project, Louisiana offered an incentives package that includes the Industrial Tax Exemption Program and LED FastStart workforce development services. The company is also expected to participate in the state's High Impact Jobs Program.

NPK Access Solutions manufactures recyclable composite matting systems used to provide temporary access and ground protection for infrastructure, utility, pipeline, renewable energy and industrial projects.
