Superior Huntingdon Composites Expands Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Fiberglass Production Operations

Fiberglass products manufacturer Superior Huntingdon Composites plans to expand its operations in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. The $4.4 million project is expected to create 26 jobs.

The investment will include the reactivation of a third production line at the company's existing facility.

“For over five decades, Superior Huntingdon Composites has been fiberizing glass in our Huntingdon facility,” said Superior Huntingdon Composites President and CEO Jason Takac. “These investments will help us grow our Pennsylvania manufacturing platform, invest in advanced production capabilities, and reinforce the domestic supply chain to meet our customers’ needs with speed and reliability. We are grateful to the Shapiro Administration and the DCED for making these investments possible. These investments help support our continued commitment to the composites industry, Huntingdon County, and our employees.”

To support the project, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) offered a funding package that includes a $1,687,757 Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loan and a $200,000 Pennsylvania First grant.

Supporting growing manufacturing companies also boosts our supply chains and builds on Pennsylvania’s industrial foundation and future success.”

Superior Huntingdon Composites specializes in the manufacturing of fiberglass continuous filament mat and veil products for composite materials applications. The company supplies reinforcement materials used in defense, power generation, building products, transportation, infrastructure and marine industries.
