Boom Supersonic Expands Centennial, Colorado, Manufacturing Operations

10/27/2026
Aerospace and energy technology company Boom Supersonic is expanding its operations in Centennial, Colorado. The $150 million project is expected to create up to 500 jobs.

The investment includes the construction of an approximately 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, located at 8039 Chambers Road, featuring two buildings that will produce components for the company's Superpower natural gas turbines and Symphony aircraft engines.

“It’s time for a renaissance in energy and in supersonic flight,” said Boom Supersonic Founder and CEO Blake Scholl. “The same team, technology, and culture is tackling both flight and energy. Today is a critical milestone as we ship a fully-assembled advanced turbine core less than a year after program launch. Boom is now taking on the full vertically-integrated manufacturing challenge to accelerate production.”

Boom Supersonic specializes in the development of supersonic aircraft, propulsion systems and advanced turbine technologies. The company is developing the Overture commercial airliner, Symphony aircraft engine and Superpower natural gas turbine systems for data center power generation.

“It is no secret that Colorado is the best place to work, live, and grow an aerospace company. Colorado is home to some of the best aerospace industries in the world, and I am excited that Boom Supersonic is choosing to grow operations in Colorado, creating new jobs, supporting our economy and ensuring that Colorado remains a leader in the aerospace industry,” noted Colorado Governor Jared Polis.
