Blue Origin Plans Hutto, Texas, Manufacturing Operations

10/19/2026
Aerospace and space technology company Blue Origin plans to establish operations in Hutto, Texas. The approximately $555 million project is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs in Williamson County.

The company’s new 1.3-million-square-foot multi-facility manufacturing and operations campus, located at Hutto Crossing, will support advanced satellite technologies.

“Texas has long understood what it takes to lead in space exploration,” said Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp. “We're proud to grow our footprint here in Texas, tap into the world-class talent this state has to offer, and help ensure America remains the leader in space innovation.”

To support the project, Blue Origin has been offered an $18,171,000 grant through the Texas Enterprise Fund, along with a $10,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus.

“Texas is the launchpad to a future of possibilities,” noted Texas Governor Greg Abbott. “Blue Origin’s sizeable expansion of their investment in Texas in support of their satellite communications network is testament to the state’s leadership in the advanced manufacturing and space industries. Texas offers innovative technology leaders the space, speed, and talent needed to rapidly scale operations.”

Blue Origin specializes in the development and manufacturing of aerospace systems and space technologies, including launch vehicles, rocket engines, spacecraft and satellite-related infrastructure. The company develops reusable launch systems and technologies supporting commercial, government and scientific space missions.

“Blue Origin's investment will have a ripple effect across Hutto and Williamson County, from job creation to opportunities for our schools and workforce to grow alongside a world-class aerospace company,” added Hutto Economic Development Corporation Board Chair Caitlin Morales. “We're proud to have played a role in bringing this project home.”

“Great economic development should strengthen the community alongside the economy,” said City of Hutto Director of Economic Development Cheney Gamboa. “Our residents want us to be thoughtful about how we grow and focus on creating lasting value. Blue Origin aligns with those priorities by bringing quality jobs, diversifying our tax base, and creating an opportunity for sustainable growth that supports the quality of life we want for Hutto today and well into the future.”
