Doncasters Plans Auburn, Alabama, Manufacturing Operations

08/03/2026
Superalloy manufacturer Doncasters plans to establish operations in Auburn, Alabama. The $50 million project is expected to create approximately 70 jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a new manufacturing facility that will produce vacuum master melted superalloys.

“Doncasters is delighted and excited to work with the State of Alabama and the City of Auburn on this crucial project for the required growth for Doncasters for the foreseeable future,” said Jason Mays, Chief Operating Officer of Doncasters. “The state and city came together with remarkable packages for us to be able to absolutely make Auburn the choice for greenfield space for Doncasters, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome of this board-approved project.”

The project is being supported by the state of Alabama’s Job Act incentives and AIDT workforce recruitment and training services. Additionally the City of Auburn will provide a 10-year property tax abatement and sales and use tax abatements.

“This investment and the high-quality jobs it will bring are tremendous for Auburn and the surrounding area,” noted Alabama Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair. “Every new project announcement is exciting for us, but there’s something especially rewarding when companies already located here continue to choose Alabama for their expansions. We are proud to grow with you, Doncasters.”

Doncasters, a subsidiary of U.K.-based DPC Holdings PLC, manufactures vacuum-melted superalloys, precision castings, and high-performance alloy components for the aerospace, energy, automotive, and industrial sectors.
