The investment will include the construction of a new 130,000- to 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Madison as well as the acquisition and renovation of an existing facility in Gluckstadt.

“The acquisition and further development of the facility in Gluckstadt are a key component of our expansion in the U.S. and part of our strategic growth plan. As a family-owned company with a long tradition, Griesson – de Beukelaer is guided by values such as corporate responsibility and a spirit of innovation. The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is supporting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program. Madison County and the Madison County Economic Development Authority are also assisting with the project.

“International companies have more choices than ever when deciding where to invest, and this latest win shows Mississippi continues to stand out. Griesson – de Beukelaer is a manufacturer of cookies, biscuits, wafers, and snack products for retail and foodservice markets.

“Madison County has landed a truly exceptional partner in Griesson – de Beukelaer. We’ve had the pleasure of working alongside this incredible company throughout this process, and their decision to establish their first U.S. and Mississippi operations right here speaks volumes about what Madison County has to offer. The Madison County Board of Supervisors laid the groundwork years ago allowing for wins like this one, and we’re grateful to have partners who think that far ahead. We look forward to the positive impact this company will have on Madison County for years to come,” added Joseph P. Deason, Executive Director of the Madison County Economic Development Authority.
