Odwalla Moving Distribution Center to San Leandro, California
01/26/2011
"Their lease was up in Berkeley and because of the large amounts of space available in South County, they discovered they could rent for a lot less down there," said Dave Fogarty economic development project coordinator for the city of Berkeley.
The city attempted to keep Odwalla at the Berkeley location, but the company was ultimately lured by the cheaper space. Since the new site is relatively near the Berkeley facility, Odwalla will likely retain its 40 employees.
