Southern Current Plans $2.5 Million Solar Farm In Hampton County, South Carolina
06/23/2017
“Southern Current is excited to keep bringing more clean energy projects to South Carolina. We owe a special thanks to all our partners that work for Hampton County, who have embraced solar energy and the new revenue it will generate. This solar farm will bring clean, renewable energy benefiting South Carolinians for decades to come,” Southern Current Chief Development Officer Paul Fleury said.
“When a company invests in one of our rural counties, it’s investing in the future of a community with tremendous potential, and that’s why we are so grateful for Southern Current’s decision to locate in Hampton County,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
“Team South Carolina works hard every day to cultivate a pro-business environment for companies of all types in our state, and this new high-tech solar project in one of our rural counties is further evidence that our team-first approach is paying off,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.
“Hampton County continues to work with innovative companies offering the newest technology in alternative energies, manufacturing, agribusiness and distribution. We welcome Southern Current to our county, and we appreciate their investment. Hampton County Council will continue to make our communities business-friendly and business ready,” Hampton County Council Chairman Dr. Roy Hollingsworth explained.
