John Deere Power Products Expands Greeneville, Tennessee, Operations

08/09/2024
John Deere Power Products, part of the Small Ag & Turf division at Deere & Company, plans to expand its manufacturing operations in Greeneville, Tennessee. The $15 million project is expected to create 25 jobs in Greene County through 2025.

The investment will allow the company to meet increased projected customer demand for the Z300 and Z500 zero-turn mowers.

“This partnership reflects Tennessee’s ongoing support of John Deere’s sustained growth and expansion of our riding lawn equipment (RLE) business in Greeneville. For over 35 years, John Deere has been investing in our Greeneville facility, and customer demand supports further steady growth, both in our traditional RLE forms and our new electric ZTrak. This will require ongoing capital investment and modest job creation through 2025,” Fabio Castro, John Deere Factory Manager, Greeneville said.

John Deere Power Products engages in the manufacture and distribution of equipment used in agriculture, construction, forestry and turf care.

“We are proud to announce the expansion of John Deere Power Products in Greene County, where it’s the fifth largest employer. We appreciate the company’s partnership and look forward to seeing the success that follows this latest expansion,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter noted.

“TVA and Greeneville Energy Authority congratulate John Deere Power Products on its decision to expand operations in Greene County. It’s always an exciting day when we can celebrate a company’s continued commitment to growth in the region. We are proud to partner with Greene County Partnership and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to support companies like John Deere Power Products, that create job opportunities and investment in the area, and we celebrate this announcement together,” added John Bradley, TVA senior vice president of economic development.
