New Renmatix Facility in PA to Create 150 Jobs in Greater Philadelphia

Renmatix has announced that the relocation of its headquarters and technology center to to a new facility in King of Prussia will bring over 150 new jobs to Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It presently operates a demonstration facility in Georgia.

Renmatix is a leading producer of cellulosic sugars for the global renewable fuels and chemicals markets. The company turns byproducts most lumber yards throw away into a sugar-based stock that can be used in dozens of diverse ways. "In the years to come, their product will save on oil and use green technology to make products and power our cars -- all while cutting pollution," said Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett.

Tom Morr, president and CEO of Select Greater Philadelphia, said the firm' will help put the region at the head of the renewable materials movement. "The company recognized the depth of high-quality of talent in material science here."

CEO Mike Hamilton said his company is "thrilled at the opportunity" to locate its headquarters and technical center in Pennsylvania.
