Agena Bioscience Expands Headquarters In San Diego, California
01/11/2016
The firm develops, manufactures, and supplies genetic analysis systems and reagents, including the MassARRAY System. The system is a highly sensitive, cost-effective, mass spectrometry-based platform for high-throughput genetic analysis, and is used globally in diverse research fields such as cancer profiling for solid tumors and liquid biopsies, inherited genetic disease testing, pharmacogenetics, agricultural genomics, and clinical research. The MassARRAY System is intended for research use only, and not intended for use in diagnostic procedures.
"We're tremendously excited about moving our headquarters into a larger space. Not only will the new facility enable us to better serve our growing customer base, but it will position us for continued growth in our workforce over the next several years," said Pete Dansky, CEO.
"Over the last 18 months, we have seen significant growth in the demand for the MassARRAY System in the clinical market. The expanded laboratory and manufacturing capabilities of this new facility will enable us to better serve those customers,” he added.
According to company officials, the company's commitment to its present and future clinical customers is evidenced by the maintenance of its ISO 13485 Certificate, adhering to rigorous quality standards in the development and distribution of diagnostic products.
In addition to its headquarters in San Diego, Agena Bioscience markets its products in over 30 countries worldwide through direct sales offices in Germany, China, Japan, and Australia, and through an extensive network of distributors.
