01/24/2018
IVS will be opening a new 27,500-square-foot manufacturing facility at 3241A Benchmark Drive in Ladson, 15 miles northwest of North Charleston.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $100,000 Set Aside grant to Charleston County for building construction costs associated with this project.
“IVS eagerly awaits the grand opening of our new building, which will allow us to build innovative products for some of America’s most prominent companies on a larger scale. This enormous investment in the future of our company will enable us to take our manufacturing operations to the next level,” Innovative Vehicle Solutions COO Matt Kuhn said.
“These new jobs will make a big difference in the Lowcountry, and we’re excited to see what the future has in store for IVS,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
“Charleston County continues its competitive position in the automotive industry with this recent announcement by Innovative Vehicle Solutions. These new career opportunities are invaluable to the community. As IVS grows yet again, we at Charleston County will continue to support their efforts in every way possible,” said Charleston County Council Chairman Victor Rawl.
