Auto Supplier North American Lighting Creating Nearly 100 Jobs in Muscle Shoals, Alabama

North American Lighting, an automotive supplier, is expanding operations in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, creating nearly 100 jobs. The company, which produces signal lamps for vehicles, will invest $10.2 million in machinery as part of the expansion.

"We're seeing more economic activity, more new jobs, and more industry expansions. [The recovery has] already started. Now it's up to us to maintain that momentum," said Governor Bob Riley.

Riley celebrated the news with company officials at Muscle Shoals City Hall. Over the past year, the Florence-Muscle Shoals Statistical Metropolitan Area had the second-largest unemployment decrease in the country, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
